The Michigan State University Board of Trustees has approved a $28 million renovation for Spartan Stadium, slated to begin in January.

MSU expects to begin the $28 million upgrades project in January and wrap up by August, in time for the start of the football season. Near-term improvements will include upgrades to the stadium’s videoboards and the first renovations of the fourth, seventh and eight floors of the West Tower since they were built in 2004.
