WWE Superstar Jade Cargill has been sidelined since being attacked backstage a few weeks ago on SmackDown. Naomi was officially revealed as her replacement, becoming one-half of the WWE Women's Tag Team Champions alongside Bianca Belair on last night's show.

Two matches have been announced for the December 20 episode of WWE SmackDown. As announced on the December 13 episode, Bianca Belair and Naomi will defend the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship against WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax and Candice LeRae.

SmackDown GM Nick Aldis made it official moments ago on SmackDown. Naomi will be filling in for Jade Cargill as one half of the Women's Tag Team Champions moving forward. She and Bianca Belair will be defending the titles on next week's show.

During this week’s episode of WWE SmackDown, it was announced that Naomi has stepped in to help Bianca Belair defend the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles with Jade Cargill out of action with an injury. Later in the show, it was announced that Belair and Naomi will be defending the titles against Nia Jax and Candice LeRae next week.
