There’s a saying among filmmakers about comedy movies and that is you can’t keep them on the shelf for long or else they’ll go stale. The same is equally true about superhero films, and it’s a fate that Sony’s Kraven the Hunter suffered this past weekend,

Towards the end of Sony Picture's newest Marvel movie "Kraven the Hunter," the titular anti-hero - played with maximum abdominal musculature by Aaron Taylor-Johnson - experiences a chilling hallucination in which he's surrounded by a horde of spiders.

Kraven the Hunter got a C rating from those asked by CinemaScore. This puts it well below the scores achieved by the Venom trilogy. Respectively, Venom and Venom: Let There Be Carnage got solid B+ ratings, while Venom: The Last Dance didn’t do quite as well with a B-.
