A large number of mysterious drones been reported flying over parts of New Jersey in recent weeks and have more recently been spotted over New York City, sparking speculation and concern over who sent them and why.

It turns out that the problem is way harder than it seems like it should be, and the problem has been repeating for years with no obvious solution in sight. On the contrary, there’s every expectation that the problem could get considerably more widespread in years to come. Basically, if you think this is weird, you ain’t seen nothing yet.

Mysterious drone sightings continue to be reported throughout New Jersey and, as of Friday night, have spread to the New York area. The New York sightings have prompted Governor Kathy Hochul to comment.
