Full winter storm warnings have been issued for areas in Wyoming and Oregon, while meteorologists have issued advisories covering areas in 14 further states.

On Sunday afternoon, the National Weather Service issued a Winter Storm Warning for the Central and Northern Oregon Cascades that begins at 8 p.m. Heavy snow is expected above 4000 feet with total accumulations up to 20 inches, the agency said. NWS Portland and NWS Pendleton say the coordinated warnings will stay in effect until 10 a.m. Tuesday.

The National Weather Service has fine-tuned their initial winter storm watch area issued yesterday. Most of the winter storm watch area has now become either a winter storm warning or a winter weather advisory.

The NWS Reno NV issued an updated winter storm warning at 10:15 p.m. on Thursday valid from Friday 1 p.m. until Saturday 10 p.m.

Parts of the Sierra Nevada could see up to 30 inches of snow and wind gusts as high as 120 mph as a severe storm sweeps Northern California, according to the National Weather Service.

A winter storm warning was issued by the National Weather Service on Saturday at 2:34 p.m. valid from Sunday 7 a.m. until Monday 4 a.m. for Somerset County.

EST an updated winter storm warning was issued by the National Weather Service valid from Wednesday 1 a.m. EST until Thursday 7 p.m. EST for Leelanau, Benzie, Grand Traverse, Manistee and Wexford counties.
