A woman has been arrested on suspicion of child neglect after the four-month-old grandson of Steve Bruce died. Madison Smith was found unresponsive at his home in Bowdon, Greater Manchester, just after 7am on October 18.

The child, named previously as Madison, was found dead by police at an address in Trafford, Greater Manchester, shortly after 7am on October 18.

The death is now being investigated by police and a woman has been arrested and released on bail after being questioned by police. According to The Sun, the couple employed a night nanny to help care for Madison and police are examining her phone.
