A child died in a car crash on I-5 in Northern California, with several others injured; the cause remains under investigation.

The single-vehicle collision involved a silver Lexus that spun out into a tree near the West El Camino exit on I-5 around 10:15 a.m., California Highway Patrol spokesman Officer Tyson Shumway of the CHP’s North Sacramento office said.
